at its very first start, the new label founded by conrad van orton proposes a vinyl of his own with two original tracks on the a side, november and captivity archives. and two great remixers such as vsk and the mysterious annuled user on the other. just as the needle starts to mark the passage, the classic four quarters give life to a beat that between one step and another compresses catapulting reality in a classic industrial scenario of mid-autumn where the clear sky gets marked by black and deep plots. a background noise accompanies the whole programming part of the drumming that gives off a relentless pace. on the a side captivity archives reconfirms the industrial nature of cvo with a look towards distant galaxies ..... with the needle still hot we turn around the record to the b side. here we find the vsk remix with a more ambient and crystal clear sound. to the original drum, vsk, choose an equally technical percussion. all home made. last but not least the contribution given by annulled user. trademark? techno! .. and there is nothing here to mess about with. 4/4 dry, hard which feel anger and rebellion desire. the kick, fairly present, is ripped apart by some demonic filters. the 5.30 min of annulled user are a reminiscence of the 90s.

once again, the sunkissed camp get it spot on with this loud-pressed 12 inch collection of balearic classics from brazilian songstress astrud gilberto. opens with the original version of mesmerising dancer *black magic*, a great dj weapon that got the tangoterje edit seal of approval a few years back. followed by balearic favourite *beginnings*, a jazzy take on chicago s classic hit which spins out into eight minutes of sensual bliss. turn over for big daniel wang play, the obscure lp track *all i ve got*, a glorious low-slung floor-filling gem produced by none other than salsoul orchestra founder vince montana who also supplies the sublime disco version of the song that made astrud a household name *the girl from ipanema*. lastly comes her cool and breezy version of the bossanova jazz standard *agua de beber*. beautiful stuff.

the idea behind lbl is very simple. we keep getting sent music that we really want to own on vinyl, so weve decided to start pressing these tracks ourselves. everything we have scheduled has a club feel, but past that we think youd be hard pushed to pinpoint a specific style which dominates our releases. for our first release we have music from scott fraser (crimes of the future), people get real (join our club), jamie blanco (ess o ess) and joonipah (nixwax). we could list a whole load of meaningless genres to describe the music to you (machine house, neu acid, bashment techno and hi tek soca) but we think its best you just listen and make your own mind up. currently, all lbl releases will be limited to a pressing run of 300 copies

for our fourth installment, we turn our focus to the middle east this time. presenting a bit more of an early doors tip with mehmet aslan making another appearance , serving up a turkish folk nugget and tel avivs mighty red axes delivering an industrial disco gem.

following the first steps on his return to record production last year, greg wilson delivers the second release on his schooled in the classics imprint just in time for the arrival of the summer sunshine. while the first schooled release coupled 2 instrumental tracks, blue angel and 12-turn-13, weve taken things a whole stage further this time around, introducing vocals, courtesy of boss merseyside singers katherine & carmel reynolds, who are making their vinyl debut (and how!).

after several vvaa and remixes, we are glad to introduce you the first solo ep of oscar barila in his own imprint my little dog. the first track is raw girlz , a forward driven song, somewhere between old skool and deep house. its heavy squared bassline and its catchy vocals promise to be a heavyweight stomper in the finest clubs. the second original track is planet hollywood , a melodic and chic deep house song with a brilliant dico touch. if it wasn t enough with the 2 original tracks, there is also room for remixes. the super chilean combo andre butano and demian muller (cadenza, 8bit) makes a fantastic and techy reinterpretation of raw gilz . meanwhile, the serbian mass digital (keno, yellow tale) gives his personal touch to planet hollywood and turn it into an outstanding indie dance masterpiece.

second reference of the spanish label sinerec. this time the hand of german quantec, momentarily abandons those atmospheres characteristics and leads to a more usual forceful style. a very clean and not too much saturation in style chords. spaces warm and very danceable. music definitely cheerful and very valid. with the chemist makes a turn to the more techno sounds where the baseline takes an important character in the composition of the track. depth flotation and lets get wasted, down a bit of character and are ideal companions in the suitcase of a dj for their musicality and cadence that will make sure, wonders on the dance floor.

for his release on mr bongo we have gone back to the original source - labi siffres classic 1975 release *remember my song*. this is his fifth album and features the vulture , sadie and the devil and i got the, sampled by eminem, jay-z, wu-tang clan, atmosphere, the beatnuts and frankenstein, amongst others. co-produced by derek lawrence and big jim sullivan - a prolific session musician, artist and producer - who also worked with artists such as david bowie, serge gainsbourg and frank zappa. brian bennett of the shadows, chas hodges and dave peacock aka chas n dave also feature on this funk masterpiece from 1975. this lp is reissued in new and improved sleeves (made in japan) and features label designs as per the original 1975 release.

the main idea for the luxxury edit series was to take overplayed and/or uncool songs and turn them into tracks that i myself would want to dj. initially the plan was to do this exclusively using the sounds from the original multi tracks, rather than the typical throw a new beat and some swooshes on it kind of re-edit.

following on from the release of innershades no stopping ep on creme organization last summer, the dutch label revisits the a side cut nina with two remixers in tow. those remixers are bristols bass pioneer kowton and the inimitable production duo of tuff city kids. unterton and delsin duo gerd janson & phillip lauer aka tuff city kids turn in a bulky, piano laced and acid riddled remix of nina that is a pure party starter. idle hands and hessle audio man kowton reworks nina into something run through with plenty of sirens, raw, crunchy drum loops and rolling percussive lines. its stormy and tumultuous and is full of frosty textures. these are two abrasive tracks designed for maximum impact on the dancefloor.
